The Ordnance Survey has just issued details of their latest competition for school pupils. You are invited to imagine what Great Britain could look like in 2050, using the theme Mapping the Future of Great Britain. You can read the full details of the competition by clicking on the image above. Basically, you have to produce a painting or drawing on A4 or A3 paper, using any medium. Some suggested themes are environment, transport, weather, seasons or nature but you are free to come up with your own ideas as long as they are projected forward to 2050.
The OS hope to use the winning entry as their corporate Christmas card this year. There are two age groups but you are in the 'Key Stage 7-10' category. This is equivalent to P7 to F3. You have until September 28th to submit your entry.
