Welcome back to old readers and hello to new ones.

If you are an 'old' reader of Geography : My Place and Yours, this may be the first time you have read the blog since before the holidays. If that is the case, you have a bit of catching up to do! I have been blogging away during the holiday on a range of topics. Most recently this has been about our former pupil, Mark Beaumont, who is currently cycling around the world. You can read all the posts on this topic by clicking on the label which says 'World Cycle' in the sidebar on the right.

If you are a 'new' reader of the blog, you are probably in Form 1. Welcome to you all. Please bookmark this page in 'Your Favourites' and visit it regularly. If you are in Form 1, your teacher will be asking you next week to answer the question 'What is Geography?' Here are 10 images which might help you to come up with an answer. Each one illustrates topics we study in Geography and they show what a diverse and interesting subject it is.
